Innovations in the internet and internet service have been frequent since it became widely offered in the 80’s and 90’s. A great example of innovation in technology was the introduction of wireless connectivity. Wireless connections are much less difficult to use than the dial up connections that were required in the 90’s. For internet providers to be successful they have needed to conform to the creation of wireless internet, and to do this they have had to provide matching if not better service than their competition. The nature of this field suggests that the supplier with the best service will typically prosper and get the most consumers, there is very little actual product provided, so service must be their main concern. It is impressive how the BT owners have kept the firm at the front of telecom supply and internet services, and the majority of that is down to innovating and adapting to the changing market place.
